Christians are like tortoises

Dream 20th April 2019 - We were at an early evening time social event. There was a lovely atmosphere, it could have been a church social. There were tables and people sitting at them and socializing etc. I noticed that under the tables there were tortoises with no shells, and also empty shells with no tortoises in them. I had the extremely urgent feeling that we had to get the tortoises back into their shells, but no one else seemed bothered about it. I need to stress, this was not like an animal cruelty type dream – the tortoises in the dream seemed oblivious to the fact that there was anything wrong with them.
My interpretation is ‘abide in me and I will abide in you’ – we need to be ‘in him’ and he needs to be ‘in us’. We cannot be the type of Christians that don't notice when our shell is missing, like oblivious tortoises! The evening time signifies a time before deep darkness. It is very important that we take refuge in Christ, that he is our armour. I think in the gospel of John, the consequences of not abiding in him are very pertinent to this dream - whoever does not abide in him will not bear fruit and will be thrown into the fire.
