Cinematic Jesus

April 2019 dream: Jesus was standing next to me / behind me, but I was not looking at him. He was showing me a slide show of ‘picture words’ and as they came in front of me I was focused on them, looking intently, and he was explaining each one as it came. I was completely absorbed in hearing what he said and looking at what he was showing me. The dream seemed to go on for a long time and there was this feeling of ‘he has done it, it is completed, it is eternal, it is sealed, he has finished it. Completion. Fullness.’ More than words, it was understanding on a deeper level. The feeling was so strong of resting from our work, like we were at the end and there was nothing more to do, it was all done, it was all fully understood and I had no more questions about any scripture, like there was no future because we were there now and it was complete rest. I cannot put this feeling into words because I have never had a feeling like it on this earth, the feeling that there is nothing left to do because all is done. I find this more significant because it is Passover weekend, I had this dream Saturday night / early hours Sunday morning. But this understanding that I had in the dream was more than the finished work on the cross – or maybe he was showing me the fullness of his completed work on the cross that we do not grasp. What he was saying was so amazing I thought ‘I have to write this down’ and I got my notebook and pen from next to my bed, but when I woke up this morning, I had not written anything – my notebook was under my pillow and my pen was in my hand. When I think about the interpretation of this, it is the deeper meaning of the Sabbath, the importance of ‘looking intently into the perfect law that gives freedom’ (James - that scripture was in my head as I woke up) and the promise that God does nothing without first revealing it to his servants the prophets. I think the dream also shows that things are set, unchangeable now - like the car hire in the other dream - it's a sure thing that will not be changed. "In returning and rest shall you be saved." Since this dream, I have been finding the deeper meaning in the scriptures, searching his word intently, like he showed me.
