FEED THE MASTER'S HOUSEHOLD!

15th February 2019 – I had a dream last night. We were using children of early teen age for forced labour. I think it was punishment for something. They were cutting ‘wheels’ that weren’t round, they had flat edges, like a hexagon. They were big, like tractor wheels. I remember thinking to myself in the dream ‘they won’t even work properly, the edges aren’t smooth’, but the task masters were making them do this task. I looked at the one boy and his legs were so thin, exaggeratedly skinny, then I looked at the boy next to him and he was also thin. I realised they were starving and they really couldn’t expend this energy, but they were working so hard. They were miserable, but they weren't complaining, they were putting all their effort into their task. I remembered that we had a big container of left over food, and I felt compassion for them and I said to them, ‘come, let me give you some food’, but when I got to the kitchen, I guess it was, the food wasn’t there, it was in some other place and I couldn’t give it to them. All that was in the kitchen was honey and 4 pieces of bread, and I felt bad that that’s all I could give them.

I think this dream is about hive mind mentality – the wheels were probably hexagons. The task masters were oblivious to the need, they were chatting away with each other while they worked, seeming quite happy. Everyone was working, ignoring their hunger – I think it represented spiritual hunger. They were dying, and they didn't even know it. The kitchen in the dream was a very big building, like a church. The only food I could give them was food from that ‘hive’ – honey - and I found it in that church. There was plenty of honey, but the bread was sparse, only 4 slices to put the honey on to.

My interpretation is this - many churches today (thank goodness, mine is not one of them), are only preaching the sweet things (honey) that people want to hear, and are not offering people enough of the bread that will sustain them (the word of God). The church is the body of Christ - the left overs, the solid food, were in the wrong place, they were inaccessible. I think this means that there are believers who are not contributing - they have experience, but they are not feeding the younger generation. Those boys were of an age where they should have been 'reproducing', spiritually - and yet they themselves still needed to be fed. I think this dream is encouraging mature Christians, or Christians in general, to feed each other on the solid word of God.

It brings to mind the scripture that has been so impressed on me for months now, the servant should be feeding the household when the master returns. Another thing God has been stressing lately in sermons and Bible readings is ‘keep away from the dead things, they will make you unclean’ – meaning worldly things, I think, or maybe dead works, because these boys and the task masters were wearing themselves out in these dead works.
