Serpents at School

25th April 2019 - Dream about walking to a school room in the middle of the bush and a feeling in the dream of this being a routine thing that we did, in connection with education or going to school, or learning. It was a small house, grubby looking. There was a snake along the wall outside, which I first thought was a brown house snake, but then realised it was a cobra. When we went into the house, things got really strange. our ex-president was in there, having a bath. When he had finished bathing, my son had to bath in the same tub, and I didn’t like the idea – I was searching the bathroom for something to disinfect the bath with. Then I was in the rather sparse main room of this small

house, and the ex-president was there with a few young children 5-6 years old. He was tugging at them, trying to make them pose for the camera, in front of two cobras, standing with their hoods raised. The children were afraid to come near the snakes but they weren’t saying anything because they were afraid of him, too, and as he tugged them closer to these snakes they were reluctantly, fearfully, shuffling a little closer. I tried to get the kids away and I said to him rather angrily ‘what are you doing?’ at which he chuckled and tapped the snakes on the backs of their heads, saying ‘don’t worry, they’re dead’, to which I responded, ‘they’re not dead, I can hear them hissing’. Then, I was holding up one dead cobra by its tail, but the other one was nowhere to be seen.

My interpretation of this dream is that it has something to do with education, some change or introduction in our education system that will be very bad, and dangerous, or maybe even indicating that our current education system is corrupt. The ex-president symbolises oppression, basically the epitome of everything corrupt – the fact that he was bathing might speak to the fact that some form of evil or oppression will try to present itself as harmless and even clean and good. But I’m reminded of the Pharisees that Jesus accused of being clean on the outside and filthy on the inside. This involved my son being in the same bath tub – I don’t know what this could mean except he will have to go through this process of learning at school, which is falsely presented? Then the small children posing with the snakes for the camera – is this like ‘it’s all about appearances’? Our young generation might be exposed to some dangerous teachings at school, which will be authorised by ministry of education, and they will try to make light of it – they will present something corrupt as 'clean (bathed)', but we need to protect our children from this, whatever it is. I suppose the meaning of this dream will become clear over time. I believe the location (bush) and our ex-president indicated that this will be a threat in our country.
